About ChatConverts
What this is
ChatConverts is a file converter you talk to. Instead of hunting through menus and export dialogs, you drop a file into a chat, describe what you want in plain language, and download the result — images, documents, audio, video and data, across 50+ formats and in seven languages.
Who runs it
ChatConverts is an independent project, built and run by Casper, a solo developer — not a company with an office and a support department. We believe you deserve to know that before you trust a site with your files, so here is the honest picture:
- One person builds, operates and pays for the service.
- Files are stored privately and auto-deleted within 24 hours — the same rules a bigger company would promise, enforced by code.
- No data selling, no ad trackers, no AI training on your files. The full details are in the privacy policy.
The infrastructure is boring on purpose: hosting and file storage on Vercel, AI processing through the OpenAI API, database on MongoDB Atlas.
