Privacy Policy

The short version
- Your files are used to run the conversion you asked for — nothing else.
- Files are stored privately and deleted automatically within 24 hours.
- We never sell your data and never use your files to train AI models.
- You can use the converter without an account. Sign-in is optional and only stores your email address.
- We run our own first-party page-view counter — no third-party ad trackers.
How we handle your files
When you upload a file, it goes to a private storage bucket (Vercel Blob). Files in that bucket are not publicly listable or browsable; converted results are delivered to you through short-lived signed download links that only work from your session.
A scheduled cleanup job permanently deletes every uploaded file and every conversion output that is older than 24 hours. This runs automatically every day — there is no archive, and we have no interest in keeping your files around.
Your files are used exclusively to perform the conversion you requested. We do not open them for any other purpose, share them with anyone, sell them, or use them to train AI models.
AI processing
Conversions are orchestrated by an AI assistant. Your chat messages and, where needed for the task, your attached files are processed through the OpenAI API. Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent via the API is not used to train their models.
Accounts
You can convert files as a guest without creating an account. If you choose to sign in (with Google or an email link), we store your email address and basic profile info in our database, and use it only to identify your account and apply your daily usage limits. We never send marketing email.
Anonymous guests are identified by a random ID stored in your own browser (localStorage) to enforce fair-use limits. It is not used to track you across other sites.
Analytics and cookies
We count page views with our own first-party beacon, stored in our own database. There are no third-party analytics scripts, no ad networks, and no cross-site tracking. Cookies are only set for sign-in sessions if you create an account.
Service providers
The service runs on a small set of infrastructure providers:
- Vercel — hosting and temporary file storage
- OpenAI — AI processing of chat messages and conversions
- MongoDB Atlas — database (accounts, usage counters, page-view stats)
- Google — optional sign-in
- Resend — sign-in emails (magic links)
Your choices
Files delete themselves within 24 hours; no action needed. If you have an account and want it (and its data) removed, email casper.apers@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete it.
A practical note that applies to every online converter, including this one: for highly sensitive documents, offline tools you run yourself are always the more conservative choice.
